TRAUMA

After something terrible happens to us, it can often be difficult to cope with the aftermath of such events. It can alter the way we perceive the world, others, and even ourselves. It often takes in-depth emotional work and considerable amount of time to properly heal from traumatic events. With the help of a therapist, you can expect to gain further insight into how traumatic events might have shaped your thoughts or emotions, and what to do to become less impacted by them.

Signs/Symptoms of Trauma-Related Concerns

  • Increased levels of anxiety and/or depressed mood

  • A sense of always being “on alert/on edge”

  • Nightmares
