ADHD
Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder that begins in childhood and typically persists into adulthood that includes primary traits, including inattentiveness and hyperactivity/impulsivity. ADHD affects people of all ages and can make it challenging to stay focused and follow through daily tasks. ADHD is not a sign of laziness or lack of intelligence; it’s a difference in how the brain processes information.
ADHD and other neurodivergent conditions (e.g., Autism Spectrum Disorder) can be quite debilitating throughout one’s life, especially if it is left untreated. Therapy can help you to find your own unique strategies and ways of navigating this world built for neurotypicals.
